Program Petroleum Tanker Vetting Inspections
SIRE Inspection regime has been there for several decades in the tanker industry. It remains the most effective means for an oil major to decide on hiring a vessel for carrying its cargo. It thus becomes important for ship board team to appreciate the expectations of an oil major inspector and be fully prepared for it. This course aims at familiarizing the sea staff with the contents of the Vessel Information Questionnaire (VIQ) and providing specific inputs related to various clauses of the Questionnaire and which areas to take care of prior to the inspection.

- The functioning of OCIMF, SIRE regime and TMSA.
- VIQ elements and key areas in each element which a seafarer needs to be prepared for.

Capt. Srirang Manjeshwar
Capt Srirang Manjeshwar is a marine professional with expertise in the field of imparting vocational training to Marine Personnel and Internal Auditing since 1995. He was the workshop Leader for the SAS Bridge Resource Management Program and has actively participated in the induction, nurturing, and training of more than 750 cadets since 2000. He holds great expertise on conducting basic and advanced courses for Management, Operational and Support level as per the STCW requirements. He is experienced as a Master on Oil Tankers Suezmax, Aframax and ULCCs and has also participated in the development of the company’s Safety Management System. He has developed Quality Management Systems and Audited several Maritime Institutes and Manning Agencies within India. He retired as Director and Head of Training, Wallem Maritime Training.
